The Story Behind Claro’s
Claro’s Cleaning was founded in Dumaguete by Thomas Claro Ceniza Penman, a Filipino-Australian, around a simple idea: local service can remain personal while becoming more reliable, transparent and professionally organised.
The name honours his maternal grandfather and namesake, Dr. Claro R. Ceniza, a Dumaguete philosopher and teacher remembered for disciplined thought, hard work and generosity.
Tom’s father, Jim Penman, began with a lawn mower in Melbourne and built Jim’s Group across many different local services.
Those influences shaped the standard behind Claro’s: think clearly, organise work properly, treat the people doing it with respect and earn the customer’s trust through promises kept.
Claro’s is still young. Its story is being written one clean, one improved system and one kept promise at a time.
